, Minister of Planning, Nuri al-Dulaimi, signed a memorandum of joint cooperation with the Arab Union for Arbitration in the field of settlement of economic and investment disputes.
The media office of the Minister of Planning stated, in a statement received by / Mawazine News / a copy of it, that "Al-Dulaimi signed a memorandum of joint cooperation with the Arab Union for Arbitration and Settlement of Economic and Investment Disputes, and signed it on behalf of the federation as Kazar Nehmeh Al-Rubaie, CEO of the federation in Iraq."
Al-Dulaimi said during the signing ceremony that "the Arab Union for Arbitration will, in accordance with the memorandum, generalize joint programs, exchange experiences, cooperate in the field of arbitration, settle disputes of economics and investment by friendly means through preparing international arbitrators and develop the skills and competence of employees of the Ministry of Planning and other state institutions."
He stressed, "the creation of a specialized division for arbitration and dispute resolution in the Ministry of Planning," noting that "the ministry seeks to achieve the goals of the joint cooperation memorandum; through organizing workshops, training courses and specialized conferences, and awareness of the concepts of voluntary arbitration in resolving commercial disputes."
He pointed out, "The importance of this cooperation in supporting the strategy of developing the private sector adopted by the Ministry, and strengthening the partnership between the public and private sectors."
For his part, the CEO of the Federation in Iraq, Kazar Al-Rubaie, expressed his "sincere appreciation for the efforts of the Minister of Planning and his adoption of the paths to enhance joint cooperation between the Union and Iraq in the field of resolving economic and investment disputes through resort to arbitration."
Al-Rubaie stressed, "The union's intention to move forward towards developing the capabilities of Iraqi staff in the field of arbitration, and spreading the culture of arbitration and raising awareness in all of Iraq." Ended 6/29 n
