On Wednesday, the deputy of the Alliance of Riyad Al-Masoudi affirmed that the committee set up by Parliament to amend the constitution had accomplished 126 articles, indicating that the main obstacle before the committee lies with 15 ruling articles and needs political agreement.
Al-Masoudi said in a statement to "Al-Maalouma", that "the Constitutional Amendments Committee, which was formed by Parliament, continues its work, as it has completed up to 126 articles, including the amendment, and other materials that have been kept as they are."
He added that "the committee has important obstacles before it," noting that "an amendment can only be made after the approval of the region, the Council of Ministers and the House of Representatives. It has been called governing or red articles, and these articles are limited to 15 articles, including the form of the system and the number of voters for each deputy and the Federation Council, as well as article 140, which Relating to the disputed territories.
