Reconstruction: Two million citizens advanced to plots of land

The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities announced, on Wednesday, that the number of applicants for plots of land, according to Resolution No. 70 of 2019, exceeded two million citizens from Baghdad and all the country's provinces.
The Director General of the General Municipalities Directorate at the Ministry, Ali Hussein Abdel Amir, said in a statement reported by the "Al-Sabah" newspaper and seen by him / the information, that "the Directorate had launched during the month of last December, the electronic form to apply for plots of residential lands, in accordance with the decision of the Council of Ministers numbered 70 for the year 2019, concerning the distribution of lands in all centers of cities, governorates, districts and districts between citizens, state employees and people with special needs, according to the categories, and specifying the area and price for each category.
Abdel Amir added, “The number of applicants during the application that lasted for three months before the closing of the form amounted to two million and 148 thousand and 448 citizens, distributed between Baghdad and the provinces of the country.” He pointed out that “the Directorate, through its branches, carried out sorting and assignment of lands to each applicant according to his province ”
He explained, "The municipal departments in all governorates will resume allocation and distribution procedures after the end of the curfew, to hand over land to applicants to obtain it."
Abdel Amir stressed that “submission to the lands according to Article 25 of the law for the sale and rental of state funds continues through the electronic form prepared for that.” Noting that “private offices in the ministry are working to receive and decide on forms even during the duration of the ban, stressing his ministry’s keenness to complete Citizen transactions according to the specified time.
