The Minister of Electricity confirms that the national system will be supplied by 630 megawatts

The Ministry of Electricity announced, on Sunday, that the national system will soon be supplied with 630 megawatts, while it indicated the Salah al-Din thermal station, as its completion rates have reached the final stages in preparation for entering work before the summer season.
"The Minister of Electricity, Majid Mahdi Al-Amara, visited the Salah al-Din Thermal Station to see in the field the completion of its final stages in order to enter work and supply the electrical system with new cards in front of the summer preparations," a ministry statement said.
The statement added, "An expanded meeting was held with the electricians and the Chinese executing company (CMEC), in which the work completion stages, the necessary technical checks, and how the station equipment was installed, the fuel supplies, turbine and boiler equipment, and the necessary control devices for the station were discussed."
The Minister of Electricity listened to a number of matters presented by the executing company, which include facilitating entry visas for workers at the station according to the directives of the Prime Minister, and instructed to solve and follow them up. He also looked in the field on the turbine halls, boilers, hot and cold baskets, the water purification and treatment laboratory, cooling systems, pumps, and chemical washing. For boilers ".
And he explored "the work of setting up the network inside the station from the 400 and 132 kV sides, which will ensure the connection of lines and transmit the energy produced from the station," stressing that "the completion of Salah al-Din lines / West Baghdad No. 2, with a capacity of 4000 kV, after inquiring about the readiness of the Salah al-Din line / West Baghdad No. 1, and the necessity of completing the Baiji, South Samarra, and Samarra diesel lines to discharge the station loads and make use of them for Salah al-Din Governorate, Samarra and West Baghdad.

It is noteworthy that the Salah al-Din Thermal Station is with a capacity of 1260 megawatts and is one of the most promising stations that will enter work before the summer season.
