{Politics: Al Furat News} The head of the Iraqi coalition, Mr. Ammar al-Hakim, and the US ambassador, Matthew Toller, stressed the necessity of holding early parliamentary elections in Iraq as scheduled on October 10.

A statement by his office, the Euphrates News Agency received a copy of it, stated that Mr. Ammar al-Hakim received Toller, "and they exchanged views on developments in the Iraqi, regional and international situation."
They stressed "the importance of activating bilateral relations between Iraq and America in the economic and cultural fields, and the importance of cooperation in issues of common interest," referring to "the topic of early elections and the need to hold them on time, with an emphasis on electoral security and creating a legal environment for them."
Mr. Ammar al-Hakim referred to "the importance of the cross-component alliance as a success story and a strategic variable in the Iraqi political reality," stressing the "importance of investing everyone's desire in the national project."
