    Today, Thursday, the Independent High Electoral Commission announced that the period for updating the voters' registry will be extended to the 15th of this month, while noting that the period for objecting to the primary register will be for the period from 16 to 22 April.


    The Commission media stated in a statement that Alsumaria News received a copy of, that “The Electoral Commission decided to extend the period for updating the biometric voter register, which started on 2/1/2021, for an additional fifteen days, until 4/15/2021, in an effort to pave the way for greater A number of voters to conduct the biometric registration and updating process, in order to ensure their participation in the vote at a later time.







    The statement added, "The period for objecting to the primary voter register will be for the period from (4/16/2021 to 4/22/2021), as the update process that began on 2/1/2021 resulted in (1,336,570) cases of update. In addition to the registration of (23,392) displaced voters, with the continuation of the biometric registration process that began since 2014, reaching (15,792,209) registered biometric.

    He stated, "The commission seeks everything that guarantees the integrity of the biometric modernization process by accrediting the local observers who visited the registration centers to monitor the process, whose number reached (4,355) local observers, as well as the observers from political party agents who numbered (5,398).
