The Minister of Oil, Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar Ismail, met with the Vice President of LUKOIL, today, Thursday, to discuss the development of the oil industry and gas investment.
The Information Office of the Ministry of Oil said in a statement received by the "National News Center", "The Minister of Oil received the delegation of the Russian oil company LUKOIL, which included the first vice president of LUKOIL for extraction affairs outside Russia as Denis Rogachev and the General Director of LUKOIL Mid East Ltd., Yegor Zubarev. Edward Chiloyants, director of the LUKOIL Overseas branch in Iraq for exploration, discussed during the meeting prospects for current and future investments in the field of clean energy and the promotion of gas investments.
The minister stressed, according to the statement, "the ministry's keenness to develop the oil industry and optimal investment for gas through the implementation of investment projects in cooperation with international companies."
For his part, the delegation expressed "his country's desire to increase joint cooperation with Iraq to develop the oil sector and energy sector."
