The Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nizar Al-Khair Allah, discussed today, Thursday, with the US Ambassador to Iraq Matthew Toller, the third round of the strategic dialogue between Iraq and the United States.
The Foreign Ministry said in a press release, "The Senior Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs received the US ambassador to Iraq, Matthew Toller, at the ministry’s headquarters, where the two sides reviewed the results of the third round of strategic dialogue between Iraq and the United States."
The statement added, "It was agreed to accelerate joint efforts to activate the strategic framework agreement between the two countries, and to hold meetings of specialized working groups in the fields included in the agreement in order to deepen and expand areas of cooperation between the two countries."
He pointed out that "the two sides discussed the formation of the Iraqi Military Technical Committee and its American counterpart in order to expedite the holding of their meeting to implement the outcomes of the third round of strategic dialogue regarding the transition to the new stage of security cooperation and the redeployment of combat forces outside Iraq."
