The Investigation Department of the Commission, and in its discussion of the details of the verdict issued by the Criminal Court for Integrity Cases in Baghdad, stated that "a decision of imprisonment and a fine was issued against the convicted person who was the director of the legal department of a government company."
The department pointed out that "the circumstances of the case indicate that the convicted person took a sum of money from the director of a government company in exchange for promises to close a lawsuit that the convict claimed existed against the company manager. Indeed, the amount and the place where the amount will be received has been determined (a restaurant in the capital, Baghdad), so that the convict is surprised that he is An observer from the staff of the Commission, which caught him in flagrante delicto while receiving the amount of the bribe. "
The commission clarified that "the decision in the presence of the judgment issued based on the provisions of Article (310) and in terms of Article (308) of the Penal Code, and the judge (imprisonment and fine) gave the right to the affected party to request compensation if the decision acquires the final degree."
In early January, according to a judicial warrant, the cadres of the Baghdad Investigation Directorate seized the convicted person red-handed, after a follow-up and investigation process in a restaurant in the capital, Baghdad.
