The Ministry of the Interior announces the calculation of military service for civilian employees..and clarifies

{Local: Al Furat News} The Ministry of the Interior issued, on Sunday, an important notice regarding the calculation of military service for civil servants.

And the ministerial statement, which {Al-Furat News} received a copy of, stated, “Based on the approval of the Minister of Interior Othman Al-Ghanimi, and the follow-up of the Senior Undersecretary Hussein Al-Awadi, and under the direct supervision of the Director General of Human Resources Department, Major General Rahim Hashem Muhammad, and according to what was reported by the Ministry of Finance’s circulars / The legal department in it, and with exceptional efforts from the Directorate of Civilian Personnel, issued the Directorate of Human Resources Management, Uncles (63833) on 6/6/2021, which includes calculating voluntary military service and service in the conduct of the internal security forces after 9/4/2003.
He added, "The uncles included providing our directorate with the transactions of civil servants who had previous military service after 9/4/2003 and were appointed before the approval of the Military Service and Retirement Law No. (3) of 2010 and the Service and Retirement Law of the Internal Security Forces No. (18) of 2011, where they will be calculated Their previous military service in accordance with Resolution (1014) of 1976, as amended.
The statement indicated, "The text of the second paragraph of the circulars above: Provide us
with the transactions of civil servants who had previous military service and were appointed after the approval of the two laws above, as their previous military service will be calculated by the equivalent of the civil degree according to what was mentioned in paragraph (2) of the circulars of the Ministry of Finance.
Also He noted that "the Ministry of Finance / Legal Department / Public Service was addressed to the letter (63834) on 6/6/2021, which includes the preparation of civil servants who have voluntary military service and service in the course of the internal security forces after 4/9/2003.
" “They were appointed after the approval of the Military Service and Retirement Law No. 3 of 2010 and the Law of Service and Retirement for the Internal Security Forces No. 18 of 2011, and their service was not taken advantage of when it was calculated because they were appointed to civilian grades higher than their previous military ranks.”
The statement concluded that, "According to what was stated in paragraph (2) of the circulars of the Ministry of Finance, where our ministry requested, in its above letter, from the Ministry of Finance to include them in paragraph (1) of their blinds and calculate their service in accordance with Resolution (1014) for the year 1976 amended, as they are a large segment of our ministry's employees."
