Minister of Planning Khaled Battal Al-Najm and US Ambassador to Iraq Matthew Tueller discussed the reality of electricity and the development of Iraqi Airways.
The media office of the ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Minister of Planning, Khaled Battal Al-Najm, met today, in his office in the ministry's office, the American ambassador to Iraq Matthew Tueller, and his accompanying delegation," noting that "during the meeting, they discussed strengthening the Joint cooperation between the two countries in the economic, trade and development fields.
He added that "the two parties discussed a number of files related to the development and service reality in Iraq, including the reality of the electricity sector, the mechanisms for its advancement, and benefiting from cooperation relations with the United States in this field, in addition to the food security strategy, and the file of the development of the Iraqi Airways Company, and turn it into a profitable company.
The office confirmed that "the two sides discussed the efforts of the Ministry of Planning in the inclusion and follow-up of the implementation of investment and service projects throughout Iraq and the possibility of financing them from external loans in accordance with the priorities and standards set by the Iraqi government."
