Explain to the new morning that she made a historical mistake when she signed it
Sulaymaniyah - the new morning - Abbas Arkwazi
A deputy considered that the regional government made a historical mistake when it signed the handing over of oil to the federal government.
A member of the Finance and Economy Committee in the Iraqi parliament, Hoshyar Abdullah, revealed in an interview with Al-Sabah Al-Jadeed about the reasons that hinder the implementation of the agreement reached by the regional government with the federal government and the failure of the agreement to enter into force despite the passage of three months since it was included in the general budget law.
Abdullah explained, that the insistence of the regional government not to deliver oil to be exported through the SOMO company, and only to hand over the revenues of 250 thousand barrels to the federal government, is the biggest obstacle to the implementation of the agreement between the two sides, given that the regional government is unable to deliver that money, because it gets 22 Only one dollar for selling a barrel of oil, and if it wanted to abide by the agreement, then according to the current prices of oil in the world markets, every two and a half barrels equals the price of one barrel of oil sold by SOMO.
Abdullah pointed out that the regional government has suffered a great failure, given that it is unable to deliver the money of 250 thousand barrels to the federal government at the price at which SOMO sells oil in global markets, in addition to half of the revenues of the border crossings, stressing that the regional government delivers and sells oil to Turkey at low prices, but it is not ready to hand over this oil to the federal government to sell it through the SOMO Company and to guarantee the region's share of the federal budget.
He pointed out that the Iraqi government pays about a dollar and a half for transporting a barrel of oil to the Turkish port of Ceyhan, while the government of the region pays nine to ten dollars for the same service, and that this money goes to the treasury of the Turkish government and the KDP-owned KDP.
He pointed out that the oil revenues in the region go to the pockets of the influential families in the region, which he said are ready to deliver oil to neighboring countries at low prices, while refusing to hand it over to the federal government to guarantee the region's dues and its share of the general budget.
Abdullah held the Democratic Party responsible for corruption and lack of transparency in the oil file, calling on parties and political forces to stop the exclusivist policy and to address corruption and nepotism in the oil file and various other economic files.
He said, "Those who think that exposing these people will harm the Kurdish cause among others, because these rulers do not represent the Kurds, are mistaken," and that the ruling authority is not equal to the people and the Kurdish cause, and that their fall does not mean the fall of the people of Kurdistan, considering these perceptions a lost nationalist trade that some parties are trying to promote. .
