Planning announces the start of implementing the labor force survey in all governorates of Iraq

The Ministry of Planning announced, on Wednesday, the launch of the labor force survey in all governorates, which is implemented by the Central Bureau of Statistics, in cooperation with the International Labor Organization (ILO).
The official spokesman for the Ministry of Planning, Abdul-Zahra Al-Hindawi, said in a statement received by “Al-Iqtisad News”, that “the survey of the labor force in Iraq for the year 2021 is of great importance, at the present time, because it will provide an important monitoring of the reality of employment data and unemployment indicators, and important details about the reality of the labor market.” .
The statement added, "The survey will include urban and rural areas, in all governorates, calling on the families covered by the survey to cooperate with researchers and provide accurate data," noting that "all data will be dealt with in strict confidentiality and used only for statistical and development purposes," assuring citizens that researchers Those who will visit families will be provided with identification cards issued by the Central Bureau of Statistics.
