[size=45]Today, Thursday, August 12, 2018, the National Investment Commission started the work of the ministerial committee in charge of preparing the lands surrounding Baghdad International Airport for the Rafael city project, headed by Ms. Suha Daoud Najjar, and in the presence of the Prime Minister’s Advisor for Reconstruction, Services and Investment Affairs, Dr. Sabah Abdul Latif Mashtaat and a number of general managers and representatives of departments in the sectoral ministries concerned with the project.[/size]
[size=45]At the beginning of the meeting, the head of the commission confirmed that this project will change the direction of investment and reconstruction in Iraq and be a construction revolution by all modern standards of construction and designs, which calls for and necessitates the concerted efforts of all sectoral authorities concerned with implementation.[/size]
[size=45]She reiterated that most of the lands of this region belong to or are occupied by state departments and ministries and do not represent the personal property of citizens, nor will it be a plan to displace or destabilize any of the segments of Iraqi society.[/size]
[size=45]Where she presented a detailed presentation of the plans and locations of the lands covered by the engineering survey work.[/size]
[size=45]During the meeting, a number of technical and engineering aspects of the project lands were discussed by the concerned departments, and it was agreed to form a permanent technical team to overcome obstacles facing implementation by finding the necessary treatments in direct coordination with the concerned ministries and institutions.[/size]
