    On Tuesday, the Iraqi Ministry of Environment announced its intention to participate with the relevant authorities in an international conference on climate change in Britain. With the aim of reducing the use of crude oil as a source of energy and economy and replacing it with other sectors.

    The Minister of Environment, Jassim Al-Falahi Agency, said in a statement to the official newspaper, followed by "Nass", (August 17, 2021), that "the ministry will participate at the end of this year with the relevant authorities in an international conference on climate change in Britain, as this participation aims to announce the country to move towards The sustainable sustainable economy initiative, which means reducing the use of crude oil as a source of energy and the economy and replacing it with other sectors such as industry, agriculture and tourism, especially the use of technology in industrial activities and thus diversifying sources of income on the one hand and creating a clean environment on the other hand.  
    And he indicated, "The government is taking a serious step towards the use of renewable energies, according to what was stated in the economic reform paper, in which it was encouraged towards the optimal use of these energies."  
    Al-Falahi pointed out, "The Prime Minister has given the environmental sector great attention in light of the growing problem of climate change," noting that "Iraq is part of the international trend to find serious solutions to this problem, and therefore there is a need for a different vision to support the environmental sector by launching an initiative In this field, the ministry includes the degrees of deletion and creation to supply it with new employees and the appointment of specialists in the environmental field to face challenges, especially pollution and radioactive control at border crossings and the mine affairs program.
