    The Cabinet approved the draft law on the first amendment to the Ministry of Electricity Law No. 53 of 2017, and referred it to the House of Representatives.
    The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers stated, in a statement received by the "National News Center", that "the Council of Ministers approved the draft law of the first amendment to the Ministry of Electricity Law No. 53 of 2017, and referred it to the House of Representatives, based on the provisions of Articles 61 / item first and item 80 / item Second of the Constitution.
    She added that "this decision comes for the purpose of benefiting from renewable energy technology and contributing to supplying the electrical system with additional energy, encouraging citizens and investors to use them, maintaining a clean environment, and contributing to facing climate change and achieving sustainable development."
