The authority stated in a statement, October 15, that "what was reported in the media is incorrect regarding the nature of the next government, and we call on the media to adhere to the correct controls in publishing news and to adopt official sources, especially at this sensitive stage."

The statement confirmed, "Nassar al-Rubaie did not meet with any media outlet, and we will file a lawsuit against false websites that promote false news."

And the official news agency quoted, on Friday morning, a statement by Al-Rubaie, in which he referred to "the insistence of the Sadrist movement to form a government that is not subject to political consensus with a Sadrist candidate for prime minister."
The official news agency did not delete the statement, as media sources indicated that Al-Rubaie had already made the statement during a tour in the capital, Baghdad.
