A member of the Sadrist movement, Essam Hussein, revealed today, Monday, the possibility of holding political alliances during the next government, between the Sadrist bloc and other blocs, while pointing out that the Independent High Electoral Commission was responsible and succeeded in conducting the elections according to solid legal data.
Hussein said, in an interview with the "National News Center" agency, that "the Sadrist bloc won 73 parliamentary seats, and if there is a vision for the political alliance, it will ally with the blocs that believe in saving Iraq from corruption and political failure and fighting the spoilers."
He added that "the Iraqi masses began to realize what is happening in the country, and went on to seek change, not through negotiation at all, but through decisive stages, especially since the Iraqi street will assess the next position by following up on the events."
A member of the Sadrist movement indicated that "the failure that accompanied the past political process, followed by many blocs, especially in the elections that were held on the tenth of this October, so the Iraqi masses are waiting for change, and this is what they want."
He continued, "The most important files that the Sadrist bloc is working on during the next government is to resolve corruption files and hold the spoilers accountable, and the files that were the cause of the Iraqi tragedy, in addition to the economic file and the development of industry and agriculture, as well as standing in front of foreign interference."
Regarding the opinion of the Sadrist movement on the work of the Electoral Commission and the results it announced, Issam Hussein said, “The commission was up to the responsibility, and was able to manage the electoral process professionally, despite the few failures that do not diminish any importance of its work.
