Today, Monday, the Ministry of Electricity announced obtaining the approval of the Ministry of Finance to provide salaries and contracts for the months of November and December.
The official spokesman for the ministry, Ahmed Moussa, said in a press statement, “The ministry obtained the approval of the Ministry of Finance to provide salaries and contracts for the months of November and December,” noting that “the Electricity provided lists of names of employees and contracts for the purpose of disbursing their salaries.”
He added, "The Minister of Finance instructed the Budget and Accounting Department in the ministry for the purpose of preparing for the payment of salaries."
A number of governorates witnessed demonstrations from the procedure and contracts to demand the payment of their overdue salaries.
