{Umniah: Al-Furat News} Intelligence warned of a plan to target the US embassy in the Green Zone in the center of the capital, Baghdad, on the anniversary of the assassination of the two martyrs Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis and Qassem Soleimani and their companions at the dawn of the next Monday, January 3 (the anniversary of the targeting of the two leaders near Baghdad Airport in 2020).
An intelligence document obtained by the Euphrates News Agency stated that the embassy is exposed to indirect fire at dawn next Monday, at the same time as the anniversary of the American raid that assassinated the two martyrs.
And it urged the intelligence to conduct fixed or foot patrols from the potential targeting site and to thoroughly inspect the abandoned and isolated spaces and yards, while deploying intelligence elements and following up on suspicious movements.
