Earth News/ The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hakim Al-Zamili, demanded today, Thursday, clarification of the legal procedures related to transferring the two largest gas fields to foreign companies, despite the fact that the government is a caretaker government.
Al-Zamili said in the document obtained by "Earth News", "We kindly ask you to explain your legal procedures regarding signing the special contracts for the Mansourieh and Cruz oil fields, the methods used to refer them to foreign companies, and the legality of concluding those contracts under the caretaker government."
The Mansouriya field in Diyala province is the second largest gas field in Iraq after the crutch gas field in Anbar province.
