, Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Shakhwan Abdullah Ahmed, confirmed that there is no political consensus so far to resolve the issue of the presidential election session and the formation of the new government.
Abdullah said in a statement on the sidelines of today's session, "The House of Representatives continues its work despite the lack of political consensus so far to resolve the issue of the presidential election session and the formation of the new government."
He added, "The House of Representatives will proceed with its oversight and legislative tasks and tasks without any disruption, and we, as the Presidency of the Council, call on the heads of political blocs and national forces to expedite understandings and dialogues and proceed with the political process with a national vision and within the benefits of the stage."
