    [rtl]Today, Monday, the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers identified 5 important files to be discussed by the FAO Conference for the Near East and North Africa, which started today in Baghdad and concludes tomorrow .[/rtl]
    [rtl]The spokesman for the General Secretariat, Haider Majid, told the official news agency that "the convening of the FAO conference in Iraq is an important step that counts for Iraq, with the attendance of more than 30 countries," explaining that "this conference is receiving wide global attention as it is concerned with important food, agricultural and water files, in addition to many other issues. The files shared with neighboring countries, in addition to the files of desertification and climate change ."[/rtl]
    [rtl]Majid added, "Most of the participants are at the level of ministers, and there is the Assistant Director-General of the FAO," noting that "the conference will discuss many outstanding issues with neighboring countries regarding 5 issues: water, food, agriculture, desertification and climate change ."[/rtl]
    [rtl]He pointed out that "Iraq suffers from the salinity of the Euphrates River in three governorates (Diwaniyah, Dhi Qar, and Muthanna), and there is a government directive to take care of it, and the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers worked on the file and reached advanced stages, and recommendations were issued by the Council of Ministers to allocate 6 billion dinars to the Ministries of Agriculture and Resources Water and the implementing companies have started,” stressing that “soon the governorates will witness a breakthrough in the issue of the salinity of the Euphrates River and desertification will turn into green spaces .”[/rtl]
    [rtl]Regarding the journalists not entering the conference hall, Majid explained, "The conference is not secret, but according to the protocols that are taken there. Its opening session, where the Prime Minister gave his speech, and there are words for the head of the FAO and the Assistant Secretary-General, as well as the head of the session, the Minister of Agriculture, and these are available to Al-Iraqiya channel." "The sessions are usually not filmed, and the media is not allowed to film, and all guests will be available after the session is over ."[/rtl]
