Information/translation.
A report by the Russian Tass Agency revealed that Washington is still involved in the theft of oil from northeastern Syria and the illegal trade in the resources looted from the country.
The report, translated by the Information Agency, quoted Russian intelligence as saying that “a third of the stolen oil from Syria is sold to the Kurdistan region of Iraq at a price ranging between 35 to 40 dollars per barrel.”
The report added that “American oil companies continue to loot the natural resources of the Syrian Republic, as up to 3 million barrels of crude oil are extracted per month from fields in the governorates of Hasaka, Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor.”
He continued, “The American agents involved in the theft from companies and the US military are brokering the sale of the looted oil to Iraqi Kurdistan at low prices, as the oil is delivered by trucks guarded by American military to the region.
