, National Security Adviser Qassem al-Araji confirmed, on Sunday, that the understanding between Iran and Saudi Arabia is important to the region and the world, and this came during his meeting with the President of the Iranian National Defense University and his accompanying delegation in the capital, Baghdad.
According to a statement by Al-Araji’s office, Mawazine News received a copy of it, “The discussion of Iraqi-Iranian relations and ways to develop them through joint cooperation in areas that serve the interests of the two countries and the two friendly peoples. ".
Al-Araji pointed out that "the understanding between Iran and Saudi Arabia is important to the region and the world, expressing Iraq's support for this understanding in a large way, pointing out that Iraq is optimistic about the fifth round of talks that will be held very soon on the land of Baghdad, peace."
With regard to the Algiers Agreement of 1975, Al-Araji said that "this agreement is important, and it must be activated, for the benefit of the two neighboring countries, indicating that it needs legal procedures in order to activate it."
For his part, the President of the Iranian National Defense University affirmed his country's readiness to cooperate and exchange experiences with Iraq, to serve the common interests of the two countries. Ended 29/R77
