Earth News/ Today, Tuesday, the Ministry of Electricity announced the formation of an operations room in preparation for the visit of Imam Al-Kadhim, peace be upon him.
And the ministry’s spokesman, Ahmed Moussa, said in a statement received by Earth News, “The ministry announces the readiness of its staff and sectors to serve visitors to the holy cities, with the exception of the holy city of Kadhimiya, north of the capital, Baghdad, and the roads leading to it from the programmed cuts throughout the days of the visit.”
Moussa added that “in implementation of the directives of the Minister of Electricity, Engineer Adel Karim, an operations room was formed under the chairmanship of the Undersecretary for Transmission and Distribution Affairs, the Director General of the Baghdad Electricity Distribution Company, and the managers of its branches, along with the Director General of the General Company for the Production of the Central Region, and a Director General of Transport The central region, and they were given the powers to coordinate with the security agencies and service departments supporting the maintenance of the work of the electric power system, for the success of the visit to the shrine of Imam Musa al-Kadhim, peace be upon him.
He continued, "The staff of the distribution departments and power transmission lines were mobilized to carry out maintenance on the distribution and lighting networks of the holy city of Kadhimiya and the roads leading to it," stressing "the allocation of mobile maintenance detachments that operate throughout the day in the main areas and roads that are ready and prepared to intervene to address any emergency, as well as the issuance of the Orders to establish a joint working mechanism with all other service departments and bodies such as health, defense, interior, municipality and municipalities as supporting bodies for the work of the ministry
