: Representatives of Waad al-Qaddo, representing the Shabak, and Hussein Mardan, representing the Faili component, stressed the need to implement the Federal Court's decision regarding the number of quota seats.
The two deputies said in a statement that Mawazine News received a copy of it, that "yesterday the Federal Court issued its own decision regarding the number of quota seats for minorities, and that this decision came in implementation of the principles of the constitution and the unity of Iraq and in order to preserve the Iraqi fabric, which consists of components and sects that have coexisted for thousands of years." .
The statement added, "Therefore, we welcome the decision of the Federal Court, which was fair to these original components, and at the same time we call on the distinguished Iraqi parliament to implement the decision of the Federal Court and to expedite the amendment of the Parliament Elections Law No. 9 of 2020 in line with the decision of the Federal Court, which is binding and binding on all authorities. We also wish To show
that the decision of the Federal Court is effective and will be effective from the next parliamentary session because the number of seats that will change in the electoral law to be amended will include the parliamentary elections that will take place in the future.
