    Information / Baghdad...
The economic expert, Dr. Safwan Qusay, confirmed that Iraq can claim through a window in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to compensate those affected by the American invasion of the country in 2003, pointing out that tens of thousands of Iraqis were severely damaged as a result of the American presence.
Qusay told Al-Maalouma, "Iraq can obtain compensation from the American administration after its forces entered Iraq in 2003 and continued to be present on Iraqi lands, where people, not the state, can claim compensation for the damage they suffered."
He added, "It is possible that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will have a role in collecting claims from people to raise and deliver them to the international community in order to claim compensation, and establish a window to compensate those affected, as well as the indirect damage caused to the Iraqi economy as a result of the presence of US forces and their operations inside Iraq."
And he indicated that "the Security Council and its representatives should weigh the same weight after the Iraqis paid large sums of more than 52 billion dollars to Kuwait by a decision in which the Iraqi people had no responsibility."
He pointed out that "tens of thousands have fallen as a result of the American invasion of Iraq, directly or indirectly, as the value of human beings cannot be valued, but it is possible to open a window through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to compensate the affected, so that the value of compensation is determined through it." finished 25
