    Today, Monday, the Operations Room of the Ministry of Electricity held a meeting at the Ministry’s headquarters, chaired by the person in charge of the duties of the Minister of Electricity, Engineer Adel Karim, in the presence of the Undersecretary for Transmission and Distribution Affairs, and the general managers of the departments of the Ministry’s headquarters and public companies, to discuss the readiness of the national system for the upcoming summer season.
    A ministry statement stated, "The emergency meeting, which lasted for seven consecutive hours, dealt with the public administrations' review of the 2022 plan for each company separately, including strategic and alternative production plans, plant maintenance, readiness of obstetric units, required financial amounts, and the type of fuel consumed The original (gas) and the alternative, the projects that entered the service during the months (May, July, August), and the projects implemented through loans or the investment plan, where some of them are self-financing and investment or through the development of the regions.
    The statement added, "The transport sector's plan, which includes the introduction of some transformer stations and lines (400 and 132 kV) into operation, and the change of AUTO transformers from (50 to 63 MVA) and from (63 to 90 MVA) was also reviewed. ), taking into account the load centers and the division of loads.
    The statement continued, "The plans of the distribution sector included emphasizing its support through the development of nutrients, removing bottlenecks, and installing mobile stations in the peripheral areas, where the Minister in charge stressed the implementation of the decision of the Ministerial Opinion Authority to electrify rural cities as consuming cities with regular subscribers."
    The meeting resulted, according to the statement, “the formation of a high-level ministerial delegation headed by Engineer Adel Karim to visit the Minister of Finance, to discuss the possibility of financing electricity outside the (1/1) plan, which includes calculating the same costs expended for the year 2021 to its counterpart 2022, a plan whose repeated implementation will lead to the reluctance of electrical projects And stopping it, which can be replaced by granting the Ministry of Electricity urgent advances or disbursing its full dues from the general budget for 2022 within one or two payments as a maximum, to be able to fulfill its responsibilities and commitment to implementation within the timetables established for each project.
