Al-Sadr’s Minister comments on restricting the position of Prime Minister to Shiites only and attacks the “blocking third”

A close friend of the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, hinted on Friday that the position of Prime Minister is not exclusive to Shiites only, so the tripartite coalition (the Sadrist bloc, the Kurdistan Democratic Party, and the Alliance of Sovereignty) can present a candidate for this position, accusing at the same time the coordinating framework ( The blocking third) by losing the Shiites the right of the largest component that constitutes the next federal government.
Saleh Muhammad al-Iraqi, known as “Minister al-Sadr,” said in a post on social media today, “They say it is exclusively for the Shiites to nominate the prime minister, and he cannot be nominated through the national space and the current tripartite alliance.
He added, "Down: Yes, but (the blocking third) can't the Shiites rob the Shiites of the effectiveness of the Prime Minister's nomination!?", answering by saying, "If the Sunnis and Kurds constitute one third of the parliament's seats, the Shiites will not be able to pass their candidate."
He added, "This (obstructing third) is a cunning deception that you have honored... So we punished you by withdrawing your authority to nominate the Prime Minister, and we identified it with a section of (Shia) with the Kurds and Sunnis, as the Leader of Necessity did that previously," referring to the leader of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki when he served as President Cabinet for the second session.
Al-Iraqi also added, “Indeed, as you robbed the largest electoral bloc (which is mostly Shiite) the right to run for office previously,” referring to the elections that took place in 2010 and the deprivation of the Iraqi bloc at the time, led by Iyad Allawi, from forming the government despite achieving the highest votes in the elections.
Al-Sadr’s minister continued by saying, “If non-Shiites form a larger bloc consisting of Sunnis, Kurds, secularists and the like, then they have the right to nominate a prime minister, and this is also a deception that you hated, and you will be guilty of it until the Day of Judgment.”
Al-Iraqi criticized the coordinating framework, saying: “You have made the Shiites lose the right of the largest electoral bloc and have empowered the blocking third against the Shiites,” adding, “As for us, we have proven the Shiites’ right (if you decide that we are Shiites) the right to nominate the electoral winning bloc to nominate the Speaker of Parliament, but we announced it through space. The patriotic departure and departure from the quotas that exhausted the country and the people, and we did not shed the blocking third against the Shiites.”
He went on to say, "We did not attack the Sunnis and the Kurds, accusing them of the most vile descriptions, and we did not use violence against them."
He concluded with a close friend of al-Sadr with a sarcastic question, “If it is your turn, will you agree with the normalizing Kurds or Emirati Sunnis or not? And you will be part of the British project, not an American (non-American), and if that is the case, will we tell you what you decided in the Federal Court: (the blocking third) and the explanations for your settlement (what are you going to do)."
