Oil prices closed today, Saturday, at a weekly loss of more than 1%, with the closing of the week's trading.
And Brent crude recorded in its last session, yesterday, Friday, a rise of 2.20 dollars to reach 102.78 dollars, but it recorded a weekly loss of 1.61 dollars, equivalent to 1.54%.
Meanwhile, US West Texas Intermediate crude also closed higher by $2.23 to reach $98.26 a barrel, but it also recorded a weekly loss of $1.01, or 1.02%.
These losses in oil prices come as a result of America liberating one million barrels per day for a period of six months from its strategic reserves to curb the rise in oil prices. Ended 29 / 92
