After the failure of the coordination framework to form it... Al-Sadr calls on independent representatives to form a government without Sadrist ministers
Shafaq News/ The leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, called on Wednesday, independent representatives to form the Iraqi government within 15 days after the framework failed to form it.
Al-Sadr said in his tweet, "After consulting with the allies in the Greater Alliance, I say: The current political process has three parties: The first party: The Greatest National Alliance: (The Alliance to Save the Nation), which is the sponsor of the national majority... But because of the Iraqi judiciary's decision to activate the blocking third, it was delayed in forming majority government.
He explained that "the second party is the coordinating framework calling for the consensus government... and we gave it a deadline of forty days, and it failed to form the consensus government."
Al-Sadr pointed out that "the third party is the independent individuals in Parliament. We call on them to form an independent no less than forty of them, away from the overall coordination framework, which took its chance. Their government, including the Sadrist bloc, and in agreement with the Sunnis and Kurds of the coalition...the movement will not have a participation in its ministers...provided that this be within a maximum period of fifteen days...in order to expedite the end of the people's suffering."
He continued, "I also repeat my call to some of those whom we think well of from the coordination framework of the alliance with the Sadrist bloc, hoping from them to give priority to national interests over narrow interests and to get out of the neck of forced political obstruction as they express."
On Tuesday, the coordination framework announced the launch of a nine-point political initiative, accompanied by nine commitments to implement it. The most prominent content of the initiative is to grant the independents the administration of the country, and the renaming of the three presidencies.
Since the Iraqi Council of Representatives held its first sessions on the ninth of last January, headed by President Mahmoud al-Mashhadani, the crisis of naming the largest bloc has emerged that has the exclusive right to choose the prime minister after being assigned by the President of the Republic, who must be elected by the Council, which is What has not been achieved so far.
The coordination framework insists on defining the identity of the largest parliamentary bloc, which must be "Shiite" because the prime minister is entitled to the Shiites, while the leader of the Sadrist movement Muqtada al-Sadr refuses to engage in an alliance with the framework forces combined and adheres to excluding the leader of the State of Law coalition Nuri al-Maliki and his bloc from any alliance .
On the other hand, there is a dispute between the two poles of Kurdish politics, the Kurdistan Democratic Party, which sees the position of the President of the Republic as a "Kurdish entitlement, not a partisan", while the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan asserts that this position is from its "share", as was the political custom.
The scene became more complicated after al-Sadr announced earlier this month his withdrawal and the Sadrist bloc from negotiations to form a government and choose its president, and threw the ball into the court of the coordination framework and gave him 40 days to complete this task.
