    [size=45] The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, received, on Saturday afternoon, Italian Deputy Foreign Minister Marina Sereni, the delegation accompanying her.[/size]
    [size=45]In the meeting, they discussed Italy's relations with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, the latest developments in the political situation in Iraq, the Erbil-Baghdad relations, the internal conditions of the Kurdistan Region, the dangers of terrorism and ISIS movements.[/size]
    [size=45]In addition to expressing the Kurdistan Region's desire to strengthen its relations with Italy and expand the areas of cooperation between them, Nechirvan Barzani renewed the expression of the Kurdistan Region's thanks and gratitude for the Italian humanitarian and military assistance to Iraq and the Kurdistan Region during the war against terrorism.[/size]
    [size=45]The two sides agreed on the importance of security, political and economic stability in Iraq and the need for dialogue and for the Iraqi parties to reach an understanding that would bring the political process in the country out of a state of blockage and stagnation and lead to the establishment of an inclusive government that responds to the demands of the people and components of Iraq.[/size]
    [size=45]Serini renewed the Italian Foreign Minister's invitation to Nechirvan Barzani to visit Rome, stressing that the Middle East, Iraq and the Kurdistan Region come at the forefront of Italy's interests and development and cooperation programs, and that her country looks with interest at Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.[/size]
    [size=45]In the meeting, which was attended by the Italian ambassador in Baghdad and its consul in Erbil, they discussed Italy's presence and activities in the cultural and archaeological fields in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, the situation in Syria and a set of issues of common interest.[/size]
