, the legal expert, Ali Al-Tamimi, confirmed today, Saturday, that accepting the resignation of the members of the Sadrist bloc needs a Diwaniyah order.
Al-Tamimi said in an exclusive interview with Mawazine News, "The resignation of the members of the Sadrist bloc was submitted to the Speaker of Parliament in accordance with Article 12, Paragraph 2 of the Iraqi Parliament Law 13 of 2018, and he approved it. The Electoral Commission to send the names of the replacements.
And he indicated that "the substitutes are the best losers in the electoral district according to Article 15 of the Elections Law 9 of 2020, and then a day is set for the parliament session to take the substitutes the constitutional oath before Parliament in accordance with Article 50 of the Constitution."

He added, "We may witness cases of challenges to the validity of the membership of the new representatives in accordance with Article 52 of the Constitution, and this challenge is decided by Parliament by a two-thirds majority vote of the members, and also the Parliament's decision to reject or not decide on the request is subject to appeal before the Federal Court within 30 days of the decision or non-response.
