The Iraqi army and NATO sign a "sponsorship memorandum" to increase training capabilities
Shafaq News/ The Iraqi army and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization "NATO" signed, on Monday, a memorandum of sponsorship to raise the capabilities of Iraqi forces in the field of training.
The spokesman for the joint operations, Major General Tahsin Al-Khafaji, said in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, "The Chief of Staff of the Iraqi Army, First Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, and Lieutenant-General Giovanni M. Inucci, from the NATO mission in Iraq signed a memorandum of care to include Iraq in the NATO codification system. Which allows to raise the capabilities of our forces in the field of training."
In April 2022, the Council of National Security Agents in Iraq agreed to conclude (the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Iraq and the NATO Group).
On May 11, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) officially announced the transfer of the task of commanding its mission in Iraq, from Denmark to Italy.
