On Saturday, former MP Hoshyar Abdullah questioned the demonstrations that took place yesterday in Al-Nusour Square in the capital, Baghdad, wondering: What proves that they are Tishreen?
Abdullah said in a tweet via Twitter, which was followed by Mawazine News, that the October Revolution was and will remain a great revolution whose success or failure is not determined by the number of demonstrators present in the street.
And he continued, "But frankly, don't you think that any crowd can currently go out in demonstrations under the October banner in response to the orders of political parties?"
Abdullah pointed out, "With all due respect to the legitimate demands, what proves that they are Tishreen?"
On Friday, the Tishreen demonstrators issued a statement, after the end of their demonstrations yesterday, Friday, in Al-Nusour Square in the capital, Baghdad.
A statement by the demonstrators, received by Mawazine News, stated, "Your deadline is until after the visit of the Arbaeen, in the name of God, the Mighty, the Avenger. The crowds of the free people have gathered in Al-Nusour Square in Baghdad today, to say their word and out loud, to the corrupt political class, especially the coordination framework, without greetings." The people and the reference with you have exhausted all means.. We asked you for the simplest popular demands, but you did not respond. We rose up against you, and you killed us. We rejected your rule, and it only increased in tyranny and corruption.. And here is the great Iraq, from bad to worse because of you.. And everyone knows that you are the ones who cling to power from all sides. The statement
pointed out, "So our advice to you is; Leave your positions, close your headquarters, and withdraw from the political process without going back, and the people and the judiciary, after being reformed by the people, will have their decision in you.” Ended 29/R77
