The Federal Court rejects a case regarding the constitution of the Kurdistan Region
Shafaq News/ The Federal Supreme Court (the highest judicial authority in Iraq) rejected, on Thursday, a lawsuit filed by Member of Parliament Basem Khashan regarding the constitution of the Kurdistan Region, which attempts are being made to write and approve it.
A judicial source told Shafaq News Agency, that the court rejected Khashan's lawsuit, in which he demanded to oblige the defendants to draw up a constitution for the Kurdistan Region that does not contradict the constitution of the Republic of Iraq.
The source explained that the court dismissed the case because it was outside its jurisdiction.
