[size=19]On Saturday, Dohuk Province Tourism Directorate said that the conflict between Turkish forces and the anti-regime Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in Ankara has affected the number of tourists in the province .
The Director General of Dohuk Tourism, Khairy Ali, said in a press conference held today, that heavy damage was inflicted on Dohuk Governorate (as a result of the military operations and the bombing of the "Barkh" tourist resort in Zakho, causing a number of casualties and the injury of dozens of Iraqi tourists) .
He also pointed out that the percentage of tourists decreased by more than 8 percent due to these operations, adding, "But we have made attempts to mitigate the severity of these damages. Despite all that, the number of tourists was more for this year than the previous year ."
