On Sunday, the resigned deputy from the Sadrist bloc, Haider Abdel Karim Al-Muhammadawi, described the upcoming parliament session as the last fight.
Al-Muhammadawi said in a Facebook post, which was followed by "Mawazine News", that the session for selecting the President of the Republic and assigning the Prime Minister will be decisive (the last fight).
Al-Muhammadawi stressed, "We will fold the record of consensus and quotas forever."
A political source had stated earlier today, Sunday, that the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, rejected all mediations from the coordination framework, except for two political parties.
The source told (Mawazine News) that al-Sadr rejected all mediations of the coordination framework, as well as from the prime ministerial candidate, Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani.
He added that al-Sadr accepts talking only with the Alliance of Sovereignty and the Kurdistan Democratic Party on the issue of forming a government and the possibility of the current's participation in it.
The source indicated that al-Sadr will give his decision on forming the next government after evaluating contacts with the leader of the Sovereignty Alliance, Khamis al-Khanjar, and the President of the Kurdistan Government, Nechirvan Barzani. Ended 29/R77
