While the Prime Minister-designate, Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani, seeks to hold a direct and face-to-face meeting between him and the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr.
In this regard, Ihab Ayyad, a member of the leadership body of the Euphrates Movement headed by Al-Sudani, said, "The Sadrist movement is a large and popular movement and an effective factor in the political process in Iraq, and no one can look for political stability and leave the Sadrist movement."
And he indicated that "the Sudanese are working to hold a direct meeting with the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, for political stability during the next few days, especially since the Sudanese does not want to marginalize or exclude any political party in his new government."
Meanwhile, the leader of the Sadrist movement, Essam Hussein, says, "The Sudanese is working to form a consensus government based on quotas, and for this he is working to create positions and ministries in his new government because the current positions are not enough to satisfy all the blocs according to quotas."
And he added, “The creation of positions and ministries in the new government will have a significant impact on the state’s general budget, and this will lead to Iraq losing large sums of money on a monthly basis, and all this is in order to satisfy the blocs and parties and in order for the quota system to lead the Sudanese government, Especially since this system (the quota system) is the cause of failure and corruption over the past years.”
