    The Federal Integrity Commission announced today, Tuesday, the issuance of a judgment in attendance against a senior officer; On charges of inflated funds and illegitimate gain, indicating that the verdict stipulates imprisonment, a fine and a refund of the value of the illegal gain.


    The legal department of the authority stated, in a statement received by Alsumaria News, that "the Karkh Criminal Court - the third body reported issuing a judgment in attendance against a senior officer in one of the security forces holding the rank of major general, imprisoning him for the crime of inability to increase his money and authorized presence in the service during his service. For proving the legality of that increase, and a fine of (775,350,959) million Iraqi dinars in accordance with the provisions of Article (19/Second) of the Amended Integrity and Illicit Gain Commission Law No. (30 of 2011).






    And she added, "The decision also included refunding the value of the illegal gain amounting to (775,350,959) Iraqi dinars, and not releasing him until after paying the fine and refunding the value of the illegal gain, based on Article (19/4) of the amended Commission Law."

    She added that "the court, after reviewing the evidence obtained, and the defendant's inability to prove the legality of the increase in his money declared in the financial disclosure form during his period of work as an officer at the rank of major general, which proves the existence of inflation in the money of the convict, it came to the full conviction of their failure to judge him." Imprisonment, a fine, and a refund of the value of illegal gain, based on the requirements of Article (19/Second and Fourth) of the Amended Integrity and Illicit Gain Law No. (30 of 2011), as well as supporting the seizure of his movable and immovable property.


    It is noteworthy that the Commission's prevention, investigation and legal departments have made unremitting and distinguished efforts, in cooperation with each other, in the file of money inflation and illegal gain, which resulted in the return of nearly fifty billion dinars to the treasury. The state.

    It should be noted that Article 19 / Fourth of the amended Law No. (30 of 2011) of the Integrity and Illicit Gain Commission stipulates that “the court shall rule to refund the value of illicit gain. Paying the amount of the fine and refunding the value of the illegal gain, and the expiry of the criminal case due to death does not preclude the implementation of the ruling to return the value of the illegal gain.
