Baghdad / Obelisk: The Federal Integrity Commission announced, on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, the issuance of two recruitment orders against a number of senior officials in the former Babil Governorate; for intentionally committing a violation of their job duties.
The Integrity Investigations Department confirmed that the Hilla Investigation Court, which is specialized in integrity cases, issued an order to bring in the former governors of Babylon, the current and former heads of the Babylon Investment Commission, the current deputy head of the Investment Authority, and (3) of the former directors of the municipality of Hilla, in the case of granting a property located in the city of Hilla - Street (40) as an investment opportunity, contrary to the investment law.
She indicated that the former governors granted approvals to invest in real estate as an exclusive opportunity, pointing to the use of a false registration image; To obtain the investment license for the real estate belonging to the Directorate of the Municipality of Hilla; Although there are signs of inaction placed on it issued by the Hilla Court of First Instance.
She added that the Hilla Investigation Court, which is specialized in hearing cases of integrity, issued an order to bring in two members of the former Babylon Provincial Council; Against the background of committing violations by the committee formed to distribute the assets of the Babylon Hotel, pointing out that the two accused (the head of the distribution committee and one of the members) distributed the hotel's assets, without legal basis.
The circuit indicated that the Hilla Investigation Court, which is competent to hear integrity cases, issued the two recruitment orders; Based on the provisions of Article (331) of the Penal Code.
