    Shafaq News/ The Central Bank of Iraq's "cash" sales of the US dollar increased in the currency auction, today, Monday, with the participation of 33 banks.



    Shafaq News agency reporter stated that the Central Bank sold today, during its auction for buying and selling US dollars, 139,346,305 dollars, which the bank covered at a basic exchange rate of 1,460 dinars per dollar.
    Our correspondent added that most of the dollar sales went in the form of cash by 81 million and 640 thousand dollars, while the rest of 57 million and 706 thousand and 305 dollars went to reinforce the balances abroad in the form of transfers and credits.
    He pointed out that the banks that bought cash dollars amounted to 20 banks, while the number of banks that responded to requests to strengthen balances abroad reached 13 banks, while the total number of exchange and mediation companies participating in the auction was 281 companies.
