    The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers counted, on Tuesday, the government agencies affiliated with the national project to abolish the validity of paper issuances and issue them electronically.
    Haider Majeed, a spokesman for the Municipality, said, "The number of government agencies affiliated with the national project to abolish the system for issuing paper issuances and converting them electronically to date has reached (46) agencies between a ministry and an entity not linked to a ministry and a governorate," pointing to "the uploading of (24,256) official documents." During the current week, the number of documents uploaded exceeded (450) thousand documents.
    Majeed added, in an interview with the official news agency, that "the authorities that joined the system recently are (the governorates of Baghdad and Maysan, the National Pension Authority, and the Office of Endowments for Christian, Sabian, and Yazidi religions)."
    He pointed out that "this project is one of the important projects that receive direct attention from the Iraqi government and its direction towards simplifying government procedures and accelerating the completion of transactions that the Iraqi citizen suffered from in the past."
    He pointed out that "the National Data Center Department in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, with direct follow-up and guidance by the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, continues to periodically introduce the largest possible number of official institutions into this system."
    And that "the system also contributes to eliminating extortion and corruption to which citizens are exposed by some corrupt people, as well as keeping pace with official institutions of technological development and moving away from bureaucracy."
    He stressed that "the National Data Center continues to provide workshops and training courses for employees of government institutions on the system, in order to implement the system in all government institutions."
