    Shafaq News / Today, Monday, the Presidency of the Parliamentary Services and Reconstruction Committee called on the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, to announce the year 2023, the year for the reconstruction of the affected areas, and the return of the displaced to their areas, while he indicated that this step will be a historical proof of the implementation of the government program.
    "We call on the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani, to announce the year 2023, the year of reconstruction for the affected areas, and the year of the return of the displaced to their areas," said the media office of the head of the committee, Mahma Khalil, in a statement received by Shafaq News agency.
    Khalil added, "This endeavor gives positive messages to the Iraqis in general and the people of these regions, as well as the international community, that the government has succeeded in its governmental program," stressing the need for concerted efforts among all to end this important file.
    The head of the committee stressed, "the need for the United Nations not to remain outside this circle, and to create an atmosphere for the return of the displaced, normalize the situation, and start gathering crowds and international efforts and spreading an atmosphere of peaceful coexistence in the areas of the displaced."
    The statement indicated that "any step in this direction will be a strong supporter and a witness to historical evidence for the implementation of the government program presented by Al-Sudani, as the return of the displaced will be a strong blow in the face of terrorism and those involved in the political process." This year it will be one of the government's biggest successes."
    The file of displacement and the affected areas is one of the most important files that governments have not been able to solve and return the displaced to their areas that they left years ago due to different circumstances.
