    Today, Wednesday, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naeem Al-Aboudi, revealed important projects to open branches of foreign universities in Iraq, while indicating the trend to link students to the labor market.
    Al-Aboudi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "his visit to Dhi Qar University came as part of a series of visits to universities with the aim of support and development," noting that "it is possible to find economic solutions to , social and political problems, through the university and the educational institution. 
    Al-Aboudi added, "There are visions and philosophy in the ministry's leadership, the most important of which is the Baronian track, which was launched this year in the four technological universities. This track is considered important for linking students to the labor market, And it is one of the most important achievements of the Ministry of Higher Education.” 
    He continued, "There are important projects, including opening branches of foreign universities in Iraq and opening up to foreign education, as well as building and developing new universities," noting that "the percentage of the higher education budget is 1 percent of the general budget, but there is support from the Prime Minister, in addition to many governorates supporting their universities within their geographical area.
    He stated that "there is a plan to support universities that have been developed and are still poor in terms of infrastructure," explaining that "some universities that have financial liquidity from the Universities Fund have begun to establish halls and buildings and support some basic issues." in the university, but the main issue is the focus on scientific research.” in universities.”
