[size=45]The six Minister of Finance, Taif Sami Muhammad, chaired, on Thursday, at the ministry’s headquarters, the coordination meeting with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) with the aim of developing the public financial management program, in the presence of a delegation of representatives of the European Union and the German embassy and directors of the General Tax Authority and the Public Debt Department.[/size]
[size=45]The meeting is part of the ongoing cooperation, partnership and support with the German Agency in the field of public financial management and financial markets for the FFM project, represented in enhancing the capabilities of efficiency in budget forecasting and accounting, through the establishment of macro and micro economic forecasting systems and the development of the efficiency of the Ministry of Finance employees.[/size]
[size=45]The meeting discussed the requirements for raising the pace of tax reforms, reviewing laws and legislation, and enhancing their contribution to total public revenues outside oil revenues through the implementation of the integrated tax management system.[/size]
[size=45]In addition to discussing ways to provide support for the development of the private sector, supporting projects, enhancing the level of partnership between the public and private sectors, simplifying procedures, facilitating banking services, and supporting and developing the financial and banking sector.[/size]
