Today, Tuesday, the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faeq Zaidan, received the Legal Committee in the House of Representatives.
And the media of the judiciary stated in a statement received by (Baghdad Today) that "Zaidan discussed with the Parliamentary Legal Committee cooperation between the judiciary and the House of Representatives in enacting important laws."
This meeting comes in light of a popular movement rejecting the amendment of the provincial elections law, which some political blocs seek to pass.
On March 5, 2023, Parliament completed the second reading of the proposal to amend the Provincial Council Elections Law.
