The House of Representatives voted, on Sunday, to amend Article (7) of the original election law. And the media department of the House of Representatives stated in a statement, that “the article will be read as
follows:
First: A full-fledged Iraqi who has completed (30) thirty years of age on the day of polling . 500) five hundred non-repeating voters supporting his candidacy from among the registered voters in the constituency in which he is applying to run for candidacy in a single list according to instructions issued by the Board of Commissioners . To read as follows:-
Third: He must not have been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude or cases of administrative and financial corruption stipulated in Articles (330, 333, 334, 335, 338, 336, 340, 339) of the amended Penal Code No. 111 of 1969, by a final judicial ruling. Eighth:
Submitting a list of the names of no less than (500) five hundred non-repeated voters supporting his candidacy among the registered voters in the constituency in which he is applying for candidacy in a single list, according to instructions issued by the Board of Commissioners. Ended 29 / h.
