A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Jamal Cougar, said, on Friday, that the committee does not have the authority to add one dinar to the budget.
Cougar added, "The powers of the Parliamentary Finance Committee are to reduce the budget and not charge it with additional amounts, and any paragraph that has a financial aspect, the committee does not have any authority in that."
And Cougar continued, in an interview with "Al-Mirbad" and followed by "Al-Iqtisad News", that "the committee's authority is limited to transferring between doors between ministries and institutions, and adding any paragraph that does not contain any financial aspect."
